Hand Carved Folk Art Shepherd Relief (1994)

Beautiful hand-carved wooden folk art wall relief depicting an elderly shepherd (or pilgrim) carrying a walking staff and holding a traditional clay jug. The carving features excellent detail in the face, beard, hands, and flowing robes, giving it a warm rustic character. Mounted in its original wooden frame and dated 1994 on the reverse, along with what appears to be the carver’s signature or workshop mark. This is a wonderful decorative piece for a cabin, farmhouse, rustic home, or folk art collection. The three-dimensional carving creates a striking display and shows the skill of the artisan.
